“The Isle is rampant with hackers! Easy Anti Cheat sucks!”

No, it really doesn’t suck. It’s probably the second most powerful anti-cheat on the market behind Battleye. EAC is a kernel-level anti-cheat which means that it runs in the kernel and monitors the system at a very deep level with the highest privileges (which does raise privacy concerns but that’s a topic for later).
The real problem isn’t EAC itself — it’s how the developers implement it. Anti-cheats aren’t a magic bullet which you set and forget. It has to be implemented properly, actively maintained, and integrated wisely with the game’s mechanics. If certain cheat methods aren’t flagged, or if reports aren’t followed up, cheaters slip through. That’s not on EAC — that’s on the game devs.
